CLASSIC JAGUAR RACING  is great fun and running an XJ-S  or  XJ6 is not as expensive as many people think. First find a standard car, we can find one for you, and carry out the basic modifications that are required by the MSA ( the governing body of all motorsport in the UK ) . A rollcage and a plumbed in fire extinguisher system have to be fitted as does an approved harness. There are a few other things that should really be done especially to the brakes but most drivers slowly improve their cars over time. We can help you get into classic Jaguar racing by supplying a car, preparing a car or even providing a full support package; give us a call if you are interested.

We race with  JAGUAR ENTHUSIASTS CLUB RACING in the roadgoing six cylinder XJ-S class in the TOYO TYRES XJ-S CHAMPIONSHIP.

The 2009 season has proved to be entertaining, enjoyable and successful. We planned to compete in all the races but had to miss Silverstone due to family illness. We have been to two tracks not driven before and consolidated our knowledge of the others, so we feel well prepared for 2010. We will have our new car that is being prepared by Sussex Downs College Motors Department which is going to look fantastic and will hopefully drive as well as the present car. The old car is going so well that we will not break it as was the plan, so there will be a spare car available if you want to join in.

The JEC trackday at Brands Hatch on 19th February 2010 proved useful and good fun if a bit cold in the early snow flurries! We had the old car out and have identified a few minor jobs to do to have it ready for the new season. We also had a chance to try the new Toyo R1R control tyres once the track dried in the afternoon and they were put through two runs to heat them up and remove the surface contaminents that you always get with new high performance tyres, and they seemed to perform well.
